The League Managers will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of a league. This role involves not only managing the day-to-day activities of the league but also supporting player development, arranging logistics, and ensuring effective communication within the team. Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop and implement team schedules and training programs
Coordinate travel arrangements for away games and tournaments
Manage team budgets and financial planning
Liaise with coaching staff and medical personnel
Organize team meetings and practice sessions
Handle administrative tasks such as roster management and paperwork
Ensure team compliance with league rules and regulations
Serve as the main point of contact between the team and external stakeholders
Facilitate team-building activities and events
Monitor player performance and provide feedback
Required Skills/Abilities:
Preferred Degree in sports management or a related field
Previous experience in a managerial or leadership role within a sports setting
Strong knowledge of the sport and industry standards
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations
Proficiency in relevant software, technology as well as social networking
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Proven experience as a sports team manager or similar role
Understanding of team dynamics and player management
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Excellent time management skills
Strong networking abilities and relationship-building skills
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
At least two years of work experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
